master piece... 180.000 flip dots rotate in Wolfsburg ...

Auto city Wolfsburg – Listen... do you hear what I hear?... Anyone who's ever stood in front of a traditional European train station arrival/departure board will remember fondly – that sound, when the board changes. Here the visitor stands before the installation from WHITEvoid, Christopher Bauder, an even more delicate display, but many times larger and containing much more sophisticated technology. Engineered, constructed, produced and mounted by our high tech team from mawa design, led by Steven Morgan, our project manager from Ohio.

In auto city, the inclined visitor doesn't find out when and where to receive their new car from an LED panel, instead nearly 180,000 tiny flip dots, every single one individually driven by electromagnetic impulses, show the way. The ring, constructed of 44 single segments, is the worlds largest 360° display board, and thanks to modular components, easily disassembled and transportable in flight cases. In total, 2.4 tons to move! Installed at a height of 3.60 m and with a diameter of nearly 9 m, this 0 lumen project is further proof of high tech from Brandenburg. to the project … >
