The selection of materials can have a decisive influence on form and finishing possibilities. Choosing the optimal material opens up a wider spectrum of options. For example, brass is the classic first choice of material for antique lamps, although it has a number of disadvantages as well.

The machining process, as well as corrosion of the material, doesn't always achieve the desired effect. Instead, using an anodizing process, Mawa Design can simulate brass, gold, stainless steel, or copper more effectively.

Additionally, the desired finish for your luminaire can be achieved through burnishing, chroming, or electropolishing techniques. Mawa Design can also powder-coat elements up to 16 meters long in any of the available RAL colours. We also offer colours in the NTS colour system, taking into account that a minimum purchasing quantity is required.
