Art in Focus ...

Today, visiting a museum is more than simply the transfer of knowledge. It is a pastime, an inspiration, and an experience. Museums themselves have become brands. At the same time, they have a significant responsibility for their collections. It is not easy to satisfy all the lighting requirements of a museum, but a focus on dramatization, permanent flexibility and careful consideration of conservation requirements, form the most important cornerstones.

It is no surprise then, that our »seventies« has found its way into well-known museums, and adds the finishing touch to important exhibitions, such as Marta in Herford, the museum for international contemporary art designed by Frank O. Gehry.

Thanks to our level of in-house production depth, mawa can also integrate SORAA-Modules, per customer request, such as for the Museum for East Asian Art in Cologne, the oldest museum of this type in Europe. Along with Berlin, it houses the most important collections from China, Korea and Japan in Germany.

The Museum Peter August Böckstiegel in Werther (Westfalen) is particularly meaningful for the region. Since last year, the new museum building offers the possibility to present over 1300 works from the estate of the Westfallian expressionist painter professionally and under the best conservational conditions - including the lighting.
