Handel House Museum Halle (Saale)

Over 150 individually manufactured luminaires, 11 different luminaire types

Halle, the city of Handel’s birth, in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt, celebrated the occasion of the 250th anniversary of George Frideric Handel’s death with a special exhibition in the home where he was born. On the anniversary of his death, a festive celebration opened the exhibit, entitled “HANDEL – the European,” on April 14th, 2009.

The architecture office of Gerhards & Glücker planned a spectacular exhibition concept and hired mawa to build and install the entire lighting for this exhibit.

Eleven different lighting types and a total of more than 150 custom lights made of Corian° were manufactured by mawa design.
