»and the winner is …«

mawa wins a prize in the category (Focus Craftsmanship) at the Designpreis Brandenburg (Design Prize Brandenburg) on November 29th, 2021 for the Leuchtensystem porto (porto lighting system). mawa founder Martin Wallroth and the designer of the porto, Prof. Hermann August Weizenegger, were there on-site to accept the prize.

In addition to the porto, various projects and products from the categories of Communication Design, Product Design, Industrial Design and Digital Services were honored. For the Brandenburg Minister of Economics, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Steinbach, this is a sign of the strength of the design landscape in our federal state:

Not only is it about the aesthetic design, but also about requirements such as user-friendliness, inclusion, or sustainability. […]«*
