Replacement of LED and ECG after the warranty expires

Luminaires from mawa meet the highest technical and design standards. However, as good looks are not everything, the sustainability of our products is also very important to us. In order to guarantee the optimum longevity of our lights and save resources, we offer the option of replacing LEDs and control gear directly on site for many of our lights once the warranty has expired.

What do the symbols on my packaging mean

Depending on the luminaire design, both LEDs and ECGs can be replaced in many luminaires. These symbols on the packaging and in the installation instructions for your luminaire show you which options are available.

Not replaceable
This luminaire’s light source cannot be replaced. When the light source has reached the end of its service life, the entire luminaire must be replaced.
Replaceable at the factory (by mawa)
This luminaire’s light source may only be replaced by the manufacturer at the factory.
Replaceable on site (by a specialist)
This luminaire’s light source may only be replaced by the manufacturer or its customer service personnel or a similarly qualified individual.
Replaceable without tools (by the customer)
This luminaire’s LED light source can be replaced by the customer without tools.
Replaceable without tools (by the customer)
This luminaire’s light source can be replaced by the customer without tools.
Not replaceable
The luminaire’s control units are non-replaceable components. When the ballast has reached the end of its service life, the entire luminaire must be replaced.
Replaceable at the factory (by mawa)
Maintenance of the luminaire’s control units may only be carried out by the manufacturer at the factory.
Replaceable on site (by a specialist)
Maintenance of the luminaire’s control units may only be carried out by the manufacturer or its customer service personnel or a similarly qualified individual.
Replaceable without tools (by the customer)
Maintenance of the luminaire’s control units can be carried out by the customer.
