Acting responsibly
When developing and designing luminaires and lighting systems, mawa does not follow fashion trends but focuses on designs intended to last for many years. The consideration of the entire development, production and distribution process takes environmental factors into account – from manufacture right through to the end of a product’s life. This is one of the reasons why mawa offers a five-year guarantee on hardware and a three-year guarantee on electrical components.
LED spotlights developing with requirements
At mawa, lighting systems are modular in design. The individual components can be replaced and expanded as requirements change. Our products can be dismantled and repaired.
The lights can be taken apart for maintenance and repair. The individual steps are set out in the dismantling and maintenance instructions, which you can find here.
Hardware made to last
We think and produce compatible both ways, forwards and backwards. This means that luminaire systems already in use can be retrofitted at mawa while retaining the hardware. For example, we can convert halogen to LED technology.
Preserving what already exists
At mawa, products are designed to be used for a long time and, where necessary, to be technically upgraded.
That is why we offer you the option of fitting models from the previous ‘wittenberg’ series with the Generation 4.0 luminaire head and the appropriate control unit.

No-frills packaging
mawa’s philosophy is also reflected in our packaging. We believe in an alternative to the high-gloss aesthetic of electrical and electronic goods: we fill brown folding cartons with crumpled packing paper and seal them with paper tape.
Fully ripened by the sun, directly from the manufacturer
On the roof of the Seddin production facility, a 115 kWp photovoltaic system with a total of 40 kWh Tesla Power Walls generates a self-supply share of over 60 % in the summer months.
