ademo

Radiant colors. Protected pigments.
Illumination that reveals history in a new light.

ademo is a high-precision framing projector with selective color modulation, developed for curatorial and conservation-grade lighting applications. It offers selective RBWW color tuning at extremely low luminance levels, allowing sensitive surfaces—such as historic tapestries, frescoes, or tempera paintings—to be illuminated gently yet effectively. With its customizable configuration and exceptional color depth, ademo is ideally suited for a wide range of artworks, from paintings to textiles.

Tailored light modulation

With ademo, lighting can be precisely adapted to the specific materials and conservation state of each artwork, making faded pigments, delicate textures, and material structures visibly distinct. Light-induced signs of aging—such as oxidation or pigment changes—can be deliberately accentuated. This enables a clear visual differentiation between restored and unrestored areas, without harming the pigments.

Minimally invasive illumination

ademo offers finely adjustable luminance levels designed to minimize light-induced degradation processes. It specifically accounts for the varying light sensitivity of materials, such as organic substrates or textiles. Suitable for a wide range of applications including painting, textile art, sculpture, and mixed media, ademo sc allows light parameters to be precisely tuned to both the material characteristics and the desired color intensity.

Adaptive to artwork and medium

Developed to meet the needs of curators, conservators, and restoration experts, this museum-grade spotlight enables precise light control with selective RBWW color modulation at minimal luminance levels. It reveals faded pigments, oxidized surfaces, and fine structures, without compromising the sensitive materiality of artworks such as historic tapestries, frescoes, or tempera paintings.

Professional tool for museum contexts

With its individually adjustable LED engine, triple lens system, and sharp contour definition, ademo allows light to be precisely tailored to various art forms—from paintings to textiles and mixed media. It opens new possibilities for art appreciation and preservation: for scientific analysis, conservation planning, or curated object presentation, where the true visual impact can only be fully experienced in the right light.

Technical information

Joint

Depending on the model, an adjustable swivel joint is integrated, allowing the spotlight’s horizontal and vertical alignment to be fixed as needed using set screws.

Beam Angle

Beam angles of 19° and 28° are available.

LED Module

1 x Dynamic LED Modules ENGINES 30 W | LES 10 mm (17 HP-LEDs)

DMSA-Colour-LEDs cover the full spectrum of visible light, enabling precise adjustment of a light source’s spectrum. This allows lighting experts to express their own interpretation of an artwork or create a visual effect that aligns with the artist’s intention—while maintaining consistent illuminance and color temperature.

Operating Range

AC 220V–240V / 50Hz–60Hz

Continuously adjustable beam angles

With its integrated focus lens system, the ademo sc spotlight allows for tool-free, continuously adjustable beam angles between 19° and 28°. Fine-tuning is done directly on the luminaire, enabling highly precise light cone adjustments – from pinpoint accentuation to soft area lighting.

The optical system is modular in design. All components are made of aluminum and are either powder-coated or ceramic-oxide finished to ensure durable, glare-free surfaces, particularly at the light exit point.

Precise lighting control in professional environments

ademo luminaires are equipped with an RBWW light engine (Red, Blue, Warm White, White), offering significantly more refined light modulation than conventional tunable white systems. Thanks to the spectrally balanced blend, the light can be precisely tailored to exhibits, materials, and spatial settings – ideal for museums, galleries, and any application where light is not only used for illumination but also for deliberate staging.

Flexible alignment & secure positioning

The luminaire offers 350° rotation and 90° tilt and can be fixed on both the horizontal and vertical axis if needed. It connects via a high-quality Powergear 3-circuit adapter, compatible with the PRO-06 and PRO-R6 track systems.

Objects illuminated with razor-sharp edges

Using the ademo’s lens system and shutter blades, artworks and objects can be focused so precisely that they appear to glow from within, framed by crisp, defined edges. The shape and size of the light field can be individually adjusted.
