Kardorff Ingenieure Lichtplanung GmbH, a Berlin light planning office, has created an impressive atmosphere in the foyer of the Museum Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf. mawa design produced two high-tech, custom crown-lights specifically for this project.
Each crown-light consists of five cylindrical pendant luminaires with partially satin-finished borosilicate glass for direct and indirect illumination. Hung in a stepped, cascading formation, the luminaires follow the half circle run of each wing of the split staircase.
