»How can we use a lighting system to respond to complex spatial situations?« Hermann August Weizenegger provided an answer to this question with the design of his suspended lighting system, porto, constructed and produced by mawa. This highly innovative lighting product is adaptable to a variety of indoor conditions, and fits comfortably in both living and working environments.

The housing of the porto, milled from a single piece of aluminum, is absolutely unique and is accented with brushed brass or stainless steel highlights. Using a specially developed production process, the outer skin of the light is curved, folded and joined together.

Thanks to a special connecting hinge, the system can be arranged in a linear, circular or free-form manner. For an extension of the basic luminaire, up to five additional porto extension modules can be added.
