Museum for East Asian Art Cologne

Track spotlight with SORAA Light Engine module

The museum is the oldest museum for East Asian art in all of Europe, situated near Berlin, and containing the most important collections in Germany from China, Korea, and Japan.
At the end of 2017, the museum’s lighting systems were extensively renovated – including electrical installations and lighting controls.40 years after the opening and just in time for Museum Night, the precious exhibits, including paintings, wood sculptures, ceramics and sacred bronzes, shine brightly in a new light.

mawa’s DALI-controlled track spotlights of the seventies luminaire series have been individually equipped with Soraa modules including magnetic accessories for this purpose. They make it possible to stage the exhibition in a targeted manner, to highlight objects individually, to remain permanently flexible and to save electricity at the same time.
