Sportforum Berlin

LED downlight in listed building

In 2017, the lighting in the corridors of the Great Hall of the Sportforum Berlin, the second largest sports complex in the capital, was upgraded to modern LED technology.

Two different luminaire models were available to substitute in accordance with preservation requirements. Both were possible due to a customization of the seventies series.

Today, the oldest event location within the complex built in the 50’s welcomes its athletes and spectators with high-quality lighting.
The areal comprises a total of 35 facilities and is home to around 20 sport clubs and the Berlin Olympic Training Center. Sporting diversity and the charm of bygone times make a visit, whether active or passive, well worth your time.

The well-worn surrounds were reconstructed. An identical-build, gold-anodized spin-formed element replaced the decorative brass reflector in the ceiling hollows.
