Reopening: Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin

After six years of renovation, the time has finally come. The ceremonial handover of the keys took place in April and since last Sunday, August 22, the doors of the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin have been open to interested visitors.

For the basic refurbishment, according to plans by David Chipperfield Architects, mawa restored 3108 existing luminaires of different types, partially reconstructed them and equipped them with state-of-the-art LED technology.

Since yesterday Neue Nationalgalerie has been open for a week with special opening hours from 10 am to 8 pm. Information about the opening can be found on the website of Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.

The mawa team is delighted to be able to contribute all its expertise to the re-lighting of this icon of modernism. Soon you will find a detailed report on this project in the
listed projects section.
