Berlin craft beer brand BRLO brings together brewing craft with hospitality and experience.
Founded in 2014 and named after the Old Slavic word for Berlin, the company stands for a modern brewing culture with a distinctly urban identity.
mawa provides the lighting for the brewpub in Berlin-Charlottenburg, near the Kurfürstendamm, designed by Studio karhard.

At the heart of the space is a 360° bar with 20 taps. A standing counter at the entrance beckons guests in for an after-work pint, while the on-site “Späti” — a Berlin institution — wins over regulars with its growler station for takeaway beer.
The venue’s deliberately moody atmosphere is brought to life using surface-mounted spotlights from the wittenberg 4.0 series. Warm 2700K tones paired with narrow beam angles create focused pools of light that feel inviting whilst accentuating the quality of the interior finishes throughout.

The combination of the single-lamp round model wi4-ab-1k with the oval, three-lamp wi4-ab-3ov addresses varying lighting requirements, adds visual rhythm to the ceiling layout, and lends the whole scheme a particularly elegant character.

The result is a contemporary gastropub that marries high design ambitions with a strong sense of neighbourhood belonging — the perfect spot to round off an evening, enjoy a fresh take on classic brewery cooking, or host a private event.
