Administration building Scholz Autoclaves Coesfeld

Individual pendant luminaires on profiles in special lengths

The team at mawa design created this custom light specifically for the foyer of the Scholz company’s newly constructed administration building.

Together with Helmut Autermann from the planning office Akzent im Raum (Accent the Room), they developed suspended lights with profile lengths nearly 17.5 meters in total.

The fluorescent lamps, arranged in parallel, visually recede due to a smaller diameter, and are connected together by aluminum casing along the side.

The matt-finished acrylic glass tube which encases the lamp, enables the suspension to appear delicately „hovering“. The high-tech appearance of the lighting power supply is provided by a 3-core special cable with nickel-plated sheathing.

The visually consistent profile, slightly detached from the ceiling, incorporates the necessary ballasts and can be comfortably maintained through easy-access panels.

Visible screw connections on the exterior of the entire suspended light are reduced to a minimum. The powder-coated surface-finish in Tyger Drylac metallic grey has an understated and technical appearance.
